Earth Day Hike in Ventura County

Event Date:
April 27, 2019

Join your fellow planners for a guided hike and discussion of natural resources to celebrate Earth Day!

The event is "walk and talk" experience where participants have a chance to learn about the Santa Clara River and The Nature Conservancy's ongoing efforts, as well as share their experiences and questions related to natural resource management, sensitive biological species, and managing habitats for open space and wildlife.

Guided by experienced outdoor educator, Amy Davis, hikers will have the opportunity to explore The Nature Conservancy's Hanson Property located at the edge of the Santa Clara River. This guided experience will lead hikers through the ever-changing environment of the Santa Clara River in the spring with naturalist led identification of wildflowers and wildlife following this year's wet winter. Additionally, Amy Davis is a knowledgable birder - bring your binoculars (optional) for extra wildlife viewing opportunities.
