DESCRIPTION:APA Central Coast\, Ventura Subsection will be leading a walking tour of historical downtown City of Ventura on Sunday June 1\, 2025.\n \nJoin fellow planners and historic preservation enthusiasts for a unique opportunity to discover the legacy and explore the layers of urban development that have shaped this coastal California city.\n\nLed by Stephen Schafer of the San Buenaventura Conservancy for Preservation\, this tour will touch on stories behind Ventura’s architectural heritage\,  Planning concepts such as infill development\, and adaptive reuse\,  and discuss how historic preservation can exist in unison with modern urban design.\n\nFollowing the tour\, participants will have the option to attend lunch for a Q&A session and networking with other tour attendees. Special Brewing Company. \nMuseum Tour | 5:15–6:00 PM | 136 E. De la Guerra Street \nPlease plan to arrive at the Museum lobby by 5:00 PM. The 45-minute guided tour will begin promptly at 5:15 PM. As a benefit of your APA membership\, the cost of the tour is fully covered. While not required\, attendees are welcome to bring a small cash gratuity for the docent. \nFree parking is available in the lot adjacent to the Museum’s front entrance. A ramp from the parking lot leads through the upper courtyard directly to the lobby. \nHappy Hour | 6:05–7:00 PM | 634 State Street \nIf you’re unable to attend the tour\, you’re welcome to join us afterward at M.
