Required Skills/Experience/Education:

The ideal candidate will possess land-use planning experience including familiarity with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and Guidelines. Candidates will assist or perform progressively complex professional planning work involving data collection and analysis, report preparation, and public contact in the zoning (permitting) and/or planning programs sections.Desired candidates will have the ability to review, interpret, and apply planning and zoning ordinances and/or general plan policies to land-use projects; have a Bachelor’s degree in planning or a closely related field (e.g.: Public Policy Administration, Environmental Studies, Landscape Architecture, etc.); and one or more years of demonstrated work experience related to land-use planning.  

Salary Range:
$50,778.23 to $79,607.46 annually; salary dependent upon career experience and qualifications
Other Benefits:
EDUCATIONAL/BILINGUAL INCENTIVE: Incumbents may be eligible for an educational incentive of 2.5%, 3.5%, or 5% based on completion of an Associate's, Bachelor's, or Master's degree that is not required for the classification. Incumbents may also be eligible for bilingual incentive depending upon operational need and certification of skill.
