SEPPS Inc., widely recognized as the premier land use planning and permitting firm in Santa Barbara County, is seeking a full-time Associate or Senior level planner to join our team, and work with a well-respected and talented team of professional planners in a collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will have a 4-year degree in urban planning and/or a minimum of three years of planning experience; experience in the private sector is desirable, but not required. Local experience is a plus, and familiarity with the CEQA/environmental review process and knowledge of General Plans and Zoning Codes is essential.

The successful candidate can expect to manage a diverse caseload of projects within the commercial, residential, institutional, and energy sectors. Duties include preparing and filing ministerial and discretionary applications and representing the project through entitlement. Responsibilities on each case may include managing the design and/or professional team and review of their work product. Excellent communication, both oral and written, is critical.
